Highlighting destinations such as Cuba, Morocco and Portugal, HF Holidays has announced its selection of breaks for 2019.

The walking and activity holiday provider has unveiled several new itineraries for group bookings next year including the Douro Valley in Portugal and hiking across the foothills of the Pyrenees.

New walking holidays

Cuba Guided Walking Holiday: With winding cobbled streets, countryside and history to explore, you’ll spend your days journeying through the world-famous tobacco fields, before taking in the rich biodiversity, rainforests and waterfalls of Viñales.

Groups will also get the opportunity to stroll through the peaceful plazas of Havana, admiring the colourful architecture and timeless retro cars along the way.

Morocco Guided Walking Holiday: Highlights of this 13-night getaway include the chance to walk in the Talassemtane National Park, a visit to the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Ben-Haddou and a day taking in the open plains of the Sahara Desert.

Basque Country Guided Walking Holiday: The rich and unspoilt coastal paths and vineyards of the Basque Country make it a good destination for a walking holiday, with rich countryside in every direction. During the trip you’ll hike across the foothills of the Pyrenees before ascending to the lofty summit of Mount Esnaur.

This 7-night break offers the chance to experience the diverse culture and customs of both the Spanish and French areas of Basque Country, with a local leader on hand every step of the way to help you make the most of it.

Douro Valley, Portugal, Guided Walking Holiday: The Douro Valley in Portugal is famous for its sleepy villages, rolling vineyards and river views. A choice of daily guided walks will show off the best of the rural region.

This trip will allow you to relax and enjoy a cruise along the Douro River on your free day as well as a visit to a hand-picked local vineyard famed for its port wine.
