KURIOS- Cabinet of Curiosities originally debuted in 2014 in Canada.

KURIOS is said to transport audiences into the mechanical laboratory of a brilliant inventor, the Seeker, who believes a hidden universe lies beneath the surface, a place where dreams await.

When the door to this world of wonders opens, colourful characters invade his ‘curio-cabinet’ and bring a series of makeshift creations to life.

KURIOS– Cabinet of Curiosities premiered in Montreal, Canada, in 2014 and has since attracted more than seven million spectators across 3,500 performances in 50 cities worldwide. The show is delivered by 50 world-class artists.

The visuals of KURIOS are said to be rooted in a Steampunk aesthetic, a blend of 19th century design with a retro-futuristic twist. It is said that more than 8,000 items were created the cast with inspiration from the industrial revolution.

About Cirque du Soleil

Canadian entertainment company, Cirque du Soleil was co-founded by Guy Laliberté in 1984, moving away from the animal acts and star performers, commonly associated with traditional circuses.

Instead, the company embraced acrobatics, imaginative storytelling, martial arts, special effects and colourful costumes.

Cirque du Soleil later expanded across Asia, Europe and South America, developing new productions that now tour worldwide.
