The 2026 theme of Hever Castle this Christmas is The Nutcracker.

Visitors will be able to follow the immersive Christmas trail through the gardens, encountering much-loved characters from The Nutcracker including the Nutcracker, Sugar Plum Fairy, Mouse King as well as the mysterious Drosselmeyer.

After 4pm each day, groups can experience the enchantment of the castle, gardens and lake, complete with sparkling lights and magical colours along with music and interactive areas in the grounds.

Those with younger members may also want to book a slot to visit Father Christmas in the cosy log cabin Grotto, where they’ll be met by Mother Christmas and encounter cheerful elves along the way.

Other seasonal highlights

The castle’s shop will be open for visitors to buy seasonal gifts. Groups can also celebrate with special Christmas lunch packages in the Pavilion Restaurant, combining festive dining with admission to the castle and grounds.
