Antiques expert Eric Knowles will make a welcome return to the Seminar Theatre at the Group Leisure & Travel Show this year, to talk about interesting and historic venues for group visits.
Best-known for his TV appearances on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow and Bargain Hunt, Eric is a recognised expert when it comes to the world of antiques.
A very popular speaker ten years ago at the 2016 Group Leisure & Travel Show, Eric said he is looking forward to returning and sharing more ideas and great venues with GTO visitors.
Britain’s most popular group travel show will be held on Thursday 8th October at Arena MK, in Milton Keynes. Entrance to the show is free and online registration is now available.
Following the recent announcement that travel expert Simon Calder will be speaking at the event again in October, Eric told us: “I am delighted to be returning to the Group Leisure & Travel Show and look forward to sharing insights into some of the many places I have been fortunate enough to visit.”
Eric’s TV credits include Going for a Song, Going, Going, Gone, Noel’s House Party, Call My Bluff and Restoration Roadshow, which he presented for several weeks in 2020. He has also appeared on Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is as well as Clash of the Collectables.
He is an Ambassador for the Princes Trust and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and has given many lectures in the UK over the years at the likes of the V&A and the British Museum. He is also an author with a variety of books to his credit and his main interest tends to be ceramics and glass.
Seminar Theatre line-up taking shape for 2026
Eric joins Simon Calder for the free Seminar Theatre line-up. The popular travel expert and award-winning journalist was the first speaker to be announced for this year’s GLT Show.
A regular at the event, Simon will be on hand to share some of his fascinating travel insights again. The Seminar Theatre is a popular feature at the annual show, where celebrities and experts share stories and advice from their careers and provide various ideas for visits and trips.
