This really is the moment you’ve waited for… the performance schedule has been revealed for The Greatest Showman The Musical, the latest stage adaptation from Disney making its way to the West End.
The show opens at Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 14th April 2027, with evening performances every Monday to Saturday and matinees every Wednesday and Saturday.
Tickets go on sale on 18th November; groups of nine or more will be able to make bookings for performances from 6th September 2027.
The greatest show
Based on the 2017 film starring Hugh Jackman, the stage musical will be directed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw and features the Grammy Award-winning original music alongside new songs by the film’s composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The London opening follows a successful debut run at Bristol Hippodrome earlier this year.
West End stars Oliver Tompsett and Samantha Barks are set to lead the cast as the passionate showmaster P.T. Barnum and his wife Charity respectively. They will be joined by Ben Joyce (Phillip Carlyle), Vajèn Van Den Bosch (Jenny Lind) and Malinda Parris (Lettie Lutz). Further casting is expected to be announced soon.
The Greatest Showman is a semi-biographical story based on the life of real showman P.T. Barnum, who rose from poverty to create the world-famous circus featuring marginalised performers in a show that aimed to celebrate individuality and belonging.
The 2017 film achieved huge box-office success while the original songs topped charts across the world and won major awards. The stage adaptation features all the Grammy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated songs by EGOT winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land, Dear Evan Hansen), including The Greatest Show, Rewrite the Stars, Never Enough and the Golden Globe Award-winning This Is Me, together with new songs written especially for the musical.
Tickets are available from 18th November. Find full information and tickets at thegreatestshowman.co.uk.
