Star Clippers Reveals Itineraries For Winter 2017%2F18 %7C Group Travel News

Tall ship sailing specialist Star Clippers has announced its programme of sailing voyages for winter 2017-18, with highlights including itineraries in Asia, Cuba and the Caribbean.

The winter voyages will also include two opportunities to transit the Panama Canal or take a transatlantic crossing.

Winter itineraries

The flagship of the Star Clippers’ fleet, Royal Clipper, will sail both seven and 14 night round trip itineraries from Barbados around the Windward and Grenadine islands in the Caribbean.

Both trips take place in January 2017.

The seven night trip around the Grenadine islands will include ports of call such as the islands of St. Lucia, Bequia and Martinque.

Highlights at St. Lucia will include a visit to the Diamond Falls and Mineral Baths, while in Bequia, groups will be able to visit the natural harbour of Port Elizabeth at Admiralty Bay.

Alternatively, an itinerary around the Windward Islands will give groups the chance to swim from the ships drop-down marine deck and join a beach barbecue on the uninhabited island of Tobago Cays.

There’ll also be a chance to visit harbours and bays that are said to be inaccessible by larger cruise ships.

Ports of call on this itinerary will include St.Kitts, Iles Des Saintes and Antigua.

In December, groups will be able to book onto a Christmas sailing itinerary around Thailand and Malaysia aboard Star Clipper.

The ship will navigate through marine parks, reefs and clear waters to make ports of call at Phuket, Ko Similan and Phang Nga Bay.

The Asia itineraries will also provide opportunities for sunbathing, snorkelling and other water sports.

All bookings include accommodation, all food and entertainment on board and port taxes.

Ships

Star Clippers currently operates three sailing vessels, the Star Flyer, the Star Clipper and the Royal Clipper. Each ship features a swimming pool, an expansive teak deck, informal dining and multiple bars.
