Expansive Lake District views at Alfa Travel’s new hotel

Located near Keswick, the Derwentwater Hotel will undergo a £1 million refurbishment in preparation for next year, transforming guest bedrooms and enhancing hotel facilities.

The hotel is set within 15 acres of landscaped gardens and offers lake views from the conservatory and many of the bedrooms. Guests can walk through the grounds to the shores of Derwentwater and use the hotel as a base for boat trips, walks in the Lake District as well as the shops and attractions of nearby Keswick.

The hotel acquisition follows a refurbishment programme across Alfa Travel’s existing portfolio of hotels and the planned expansion of the Alfa Coach fleet, with six new touring coaches being added in 2026.
