Early group bookings are open for Belvoir Castle’s 2026 Christmas experience which will see the Leicestershire attraction transformed for the festive season.

Running throughout November and December, finishing on 31st December, this year’s theme is Decking the Halls and each State Room will be uniquely styled and decorated with grandeur with a nod to different beloved Christmas carols.
The festivities follow the huge success of last year’s celebrations, which saw thousands of visitors marvel at the Leicestershire castle’s breathtaking decorations and magical festive atmosphere.
Live musical performances from choirs and musicians will take place in the entrance to welcome visitors throughout the season, enhancing the festive atmosphere within the historic castle walls.

What else groups can expect this year
After marvelling at the castle and exploring the winter gardens, visitors will have the chance to enjoy a Christmas Afternoon Tea featuring delicious festive sandwiches and sweet treats in the castle’s aviary tearoom.
There is a connection between Belvoir Castle and afternoon tea. In the 19th century, it is said that the Duchess of Bedfordshire visited Belvoir Castle and requested a light meal in the afternoon, starting the much-loved English tradition that we all still enjoy today.

An impressive gingerbread Belvoir Castle will also be on display. Created by award-winning cake and sugar artist, Michelle Walters, the four-foot-wide confectionary replica was first unveiled last Christmas will return with new features capturing Christmas at the Castle.
Beyond the castle, the Retail Village will host a variety of seasonal events and workshops, alongside the return of the popular reindeer. There are a selection of boutique shops and restaurants in the village for a spot of Christmas shopping during a visit to the castle.
The Belvoir Farm Shop will also be stocked with Christmas goodies and luxury hampers, featuring produce grown and sourced from across the Belvoir Estate, including Belvoir Wine and Rare Breed meats.
