Celebrity gardener Alan Titchmarsh will officially open the Blenheim Palace Flower Show 2017, taking place this June.

Alan, who rose to fame as the main presenter of Gardeners’ World and has written over 50 gardening books, will welcome visitors when the show makes its return to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire on Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June.

Alan said: “I’m delighted to be invited to open Blenheim Palace Flower Show. Set in the wonderful grounds of the historic Blenheim Palace estate, this show has established itself as a highly popular event in the garden show season. 

“It’s an event that isn’t only about flowers but has lots of great ideas for equipment and new gadgets to help you in the garden, and it is staged in the most amazing location.”

Described as a celebration of horticultural expertise, Blenheim Palace Flower Show 2017 will feature what’s reportedly the largest ever Grand Floral Pavilion, full of floral displays and specialist plants.

A series of gardening talks from celebrities, garden and home experts will be held in the Talk Theatre, while over 300 exhibitors specialising in home, garden, craft and gift products and accessories will be selling their wares.

Groups visiting the flower show will also be able to enjoy a huge range of food and drink.

GTOs can book in advance to take afternoon tea or a two course set menu lunch, or alternatively find refreshment on the day at Blenheim Palace’s Water Terrace Cafe, the Oxfordshire Pantry or Pleasure Gardens Deli. 

Group rates for the flower show are available for parties of 15 or more people, and there is coach parking on site.
