Ramble Worldwide covers more than 300 itineraries across a total of six continents.

First up… tell us about Ramble Worldwide

Two of the favourite names in walking holidays, Ramblers Walking Holidays and Adagio have come together under the new brand, Ramble Worldwide to reflect the depth and breadth of our extensive holiday range more accurately. We’ve got everything from short breaks in the Lake District to 25 days exploring New Zealand.

Melanie Miles

We recognise that ‘Ramble’ means different things to different people, and this is reflected in our new range, from gentle strolls, national trails, worldwide journeys, and snowshoe adventures, to ending a day’s walk at a vineyard sampling local wines; whilst ‘Worldwide’ reflects our choice of destinations, from the UK and Europe to further afield across six continents in total.

What differences will customers experience?

We’ll still be known for the qualities that have made us the leading walking specialist in the UK such as expertise, four exciting collections, expertly guided small groups, a wholly charitable ethos as well as value and peace of mind.

We now have four new collections of holidays. Classic (which features iconic trails and lesser-known paths through breathtaking landscapes), Discover (delving into inspiring destinations all over the world), Adagio (shorter walks combined with culture and sightseeing) and Self-Guided (holidays across the UK, Greece, Spain, Portugal, France and Italy).

What can group travel organisers expect from you as private groups manager?

I’m on hand to take care of group holiday plans, from the planning stages right through to the tour itself. We now offer a more flexible service, adapting our holidays for specific group needs such as different walk choices each day, corporate weekends, family reunions, and holidays for special celebrations for groups of friends as well as the traditional walking groups.

One of Ramble Worldwide’s itineraries takes in the charming fishing port of St Ives in Cornwall.

Can you tell us about some of the new destinations for 2024 and beyond?

Covering over 300 exciting itineraries across six continents in total, we have some 32 new tours for 2024 covering destinations including Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Croatia, Germany, Austria, the UK, Africa and Mexico.

We also have a range of self-guided tours in the UK, Greece, Spain, Portugal, France, and Italy including:

  • St Ives & Cornish Coast – very popular area for enquiries and making a return post-pandemic, historically popular with private groups.
  • Devon Riviera – always enquiries for this area so we’re hoping will be popular with private groups.
  • Orange Blossom Coast – a return holiday, can be adapted to different grades so ideal for private groups.
  • Santorini & Naxos – a new holiday, a few groups have booked the twin centre Greek holiday, so this is another great option.

What are the highlights/benefits for groups?

We talk to each group about their specific needs, but in general, the benefits to groups include discounts, a dedicated group manager, highly trained leaders matched to your needs, tours exclusive to your group as well as donations to your walking group through The Walking Partnership.
