Gugwana Dlamini, who plays Rafiki, is shown taking her time with tears rolling down her face as she prepares to start the iconic song. Since the video was filmed, rehearsals have been in full swing to welcome back audiences.

Disney’s award-winning musical features bright colours, special effects and music memorable songs as it follows the story of Simba as he journeys from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

Now in its 21st year at London’s Lyceum Theatre, George Asprey and Shaun Escoffery take on the roles of Scar and Mufasa respectively, and they are joined by Gary Jordan as Zazu, Jamie McGregor as Timon, Mark Roper as Pumba, Kayi Ushe as Simba and Janique Charles as Nala.
