Groups visiting Dartmoor Zoo can now enjoy specially curated wildlife experiences and group admission for a day out combining education, adventure and conservation.
The Zoo, located on a 33-acre site 15 minutes from Plymouth, is home to a wide array of animals, from mammals including African Lions, Amur tigers and leopards and Brazilian tapirs, to a collection of macaws, kookaburras, ostriches and other birds, as well as reptiles, invertebrates and amphibians.
The Devon-based zoo is offering group packages with discounted admission, priority coach parking, and complimentary entry for group leaders and drivers, along with opportunities to meet animals and guided tours.
As part of a Meet The Tiger experience, groups can enjoy a close fence line encounter with a beautiful Amur tiger called Dragan. One of Dartmoor Zoo’s expert carnivore keepers will be on hand to tell groups all about him, tigers in the wild and answer any questions. The experience lasts for around 20-30 minutes.
Groups can access an hour-long guided tour of the zoo where they will witness and learn about all of the zoo’s incredible residents. There are also several ‘enrichment making’ workshops available, where visitors can learn about enrichment, how it is used at Dartmoor Zoo and then witness an incredible animal talk.
David Gibson, CEO of Dartmoor Zoo said: “With these new group travel products, we aim to make Dartmoor Zoo more accessible, informative and enjoyable for visitors coming together to experience the wonders of wildlife. Whether you’re planning a school trip, a corporate retreat or a special interest tour, we have something memorable to offer everyone.”
Group bookings are now open, with flexible options available to suit different needs and budgets. Packages include exclusive access opportunities, catering options for the Jaguar Restaurant and personalised itineraries for a smooth and rewarding group visit.
