The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has announced its 2025/26 programme of shows, including a new production of Shakespeare’s Henry V and a West End run of Born With Teeth.
Co-artistic directors of the Royal Shakespeare Company Daniel Evans and Tamara Harvey have announced a new programme of productions playing at theatres in Stratford-upon-Avon and the West End.
In Stratford-upon-Avon, the home of the iconic playwright, RSC shows will play at The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, the Swan Theatre and The Other Place theatre.
At The Other Place theatre Daniel Raggett will direct a production of Macbeth featuring Sam Heughan (Outlander) in the lead role alongside Lia Williams (The Crown) as Lady Macbeth. The show will run from 9th October to 6th December.
The Royal Shakespeare Theatre will host productions of The Winter’s Tale, Measure for Measure and The BFG, along with a new production of Shakespeare’s Henry V, starring Alfred Enoch who played Dean Thomas in the Harry Potter film series. Enoch previously worked with director Tamara Harvey in a 2024 production of Pericles. The show will run from 14th March 2026 to 25th April 2026.
Adrian Lester (Sandman, Hustle, National Theatre Othello and Henry V) will take on the role of Cyrano de Bergerac in the show of the same name at the Swan Theatre from 27th September to 15th November, whilst Josh Roche’s two-part production of The Forsyte Saga returns to the theatre, with Part 1 Irene playing from 28th November to 10th January 2026 and Part 2 Fleur playing from 1st December to 10th January 2026.
From 10th February 2026 to 28th March 2026 The Swan Theatre will host the stage premiere of a new musical adaptation of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, directed by Lynette Linton. The show tells the true story of William, a young boy who seeks to build a windmill to provide his family’s farm and the village with power.
The RSC will also premier Liz Duffy Adams’ Born With Teeth at the Wyndham’s Theatre from 13th August to 1st November 2025, featuring Ncuti Gatwa (Dr Who) and Edward Bluemel (Sex Education) as rival playwrights Christopher Marlowe and William Shakespeare.
