Organisers of the Group Leisure & Travel Show have said they are “delighted” with the feedback recorded in the visitor and exhibitor surveys following the 2023 event which took place at the beginning of October.

Exhibitors at the 2023 show said they met the right type of people and picked up some good leads for groups business.

95% of visitors surveyed said that their show experience was good or very good. 93% said their visit to the show gave them good ideas and the help needed to plan future group trips and holidays. 95% said they met the right type of exhibitor.

The annual show for GTOs and coach operators will be back on Thursday 3rd October 2024, taking place once again at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes. Which is just as well, because 98% of visitors and 100% of exhibitors surveyed said they liked the venue.

The annual show remains Britain’s most popular event for people who organise group trips and holidays, offering a range of specialist exhibitors. Group travel organisers and coach operators attend every year to meet with attractions, tour operators, ticket providers, cruise lines, tourist boards /destination mangement organisations (DMOs), hotels and accommodation, and all types of events and experiences.

As well as meeting exhibitors who really understand groups, visitors can look forward to listening to travel experts and celebrities in the Seminar Theatre.

92% of exhibitors surveyed said that the 2023 show produced good leads for groups business, with 92% saying that they met the right type of people.

Chris O’Brien from exhibitor Nevis Range was enthusiastic when we spoke to him at the event. He said: “There’s one person here who brings us 20,000 visitors a year. This is a really specialist show – people are here with a group trade mentality. It’s great to see a diverse range of people. Milton Keynes is a really good central location. It’s been a really good day for Nevis Range.”

This positive feedback has reflected a strong booking period following the 2023 event. Show organiser, Sharon Yandell said: “The number of exhibitors re-booking for 2024 has been beyond our expectations at this stage, and we’re delighted that we’ll welcome back all types of attractions, operators, providers and experiences.

“Our exhibitors put their trust in us to deliver a quality audience that generates lots of group business. The survey feedback and bookings I have received for 2024 already, confirm we delivered once again. We intend to work even harder to make sure the next GLT Show is even better.”
