This year marks the 65th anniversary of the Coronation of the Queen, and Shearings Holidays has launched a number of breaks celebrating the heritage of the Royal family.

The holidays also tie in with the pending Royal weddings in May and the autumn, and will mark the importance of the Royals and take in landmark buildings in London and other UK locations.

From visits to Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace, to a look inside St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, here is a selection of the activities you can enjoy on some of breaks available this year:

Five-Day London Palaces Break: Enjoy London's array of Royal heritage with a visit to the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace, a trip to see the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London and a cruise on the River Thames plus the chance to visit Windsor Castle. The break departs on selected dates between 27th August and 17th September.

Five-Day Royal London Break: Discover the locations across London which have hosted Royal coronations, weddings and celebrations. Enjoy a guided tour of Westminster Abbey and explore St Paul's Cathedral, location of the Royal wedding between Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. A trip to Windsor Castle also includes the chance to see St George's Chapel, burial place of ten monarchs as well as the location of the pending marriage of Prince Harry in May. The trip departs on selected dates in August.

Five-Day Royal Scotland: Available on selected dates in July, August and September, this break offers the chance to explore some of Scotland's most impressive Royal sights whilst based in Dundee at the Double Tree by Hilton. Discover Glamis Castle and Scone Palace, two Royal palaces with intriguing pasts plus enjoy a visit to Falkland Palace, once a favourite place of Mary, Queen of Scots, and explore St Andrews.
