Olivier Award nominee David Fynn has been announced as the lead role in the new West End production of Beetlejuice The Musical which opens at the Prince Edward Theatre in May.

Based on Tim Burton’s beloved movie classic starring Michael Keaton, the musical tells the tale of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager sharing her home with a pair of newly-deads and the demonic ghost with the most, Beetlejuice.
David Fynn’s theatre and screen credits
Fynn is said to bring an electrifyingly devilish presence to the mischievous and irreverent character.
His varied and diverse credits include Dewey Finn in School of Rock (New London Theatre, West End), Dromio of Ephesus in Comedy of Errors (Washington Shakespeare Company) and Ray in After the Party (Criterion, West End).
On TV, Fynn has starred as Alex in Am I Being Unreasonable? (BBC One), Wolfie in The Inbetweeners and Jonathan Hill in The Pembrokeshire Murders (ITV). His film credits include Here (Sony), The Mauritanian (Wonder Street) and Leap Year (Spyglass Entertainment).

Of taking on the character of Beetlejuice, Fynn said: “It’s a show I’ve admired for a long time - bold, funny, and totally chaotic. Getting the chance to step into such an iconic role is both a huge honour and a slightly surreal experience. I’m looking forward to bringing my own take to it while staying true to what makes the character so much fun. Plus, I do look good in stripes, and I am a little dead inside.”
Group booking discounts for Beetlejuice The Musical
Following three smash hit Broadway hauntings, Beetlejuice The Musical makes its West End debut when it opens at the Delfont Mackintosh Theatre on Wednesday 20th May with performances currently booking until April 2027.
Groups of 10+ and 25+ can receive special discounts on all Monday to Friday performances. Tickets are now available to book.
From screen to West End stage
The musical is based on the 1988 Academy Award-winning cult movie which was directed by Tim Burton and starred Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jones, Catherine O’Hara, and Winona Ryder.
With a gleefully irreverent book, head-spinning set design and a score that’s out of this Netherworld, Beetlejuice The Musical is a ‘feast for the eyes and soul’ (Entertainment Weekly). Outrageous, but with a big (cold) heart, this is ‘screamingly good fun!’ (Variety) that’ll make you want to live - and make the most of every Day-O!
