Stage and screen stars Skylar Astin and Sarah Hyland will play Emcee and Sally Bowles respectively from 21st September 2026, both making their West End debut.

Since opening in 2021, Cabaret has surpassed its 1,900th performance, making it the longest running production of the musical in West End history.

This year will mark both the 60th anniversary of the show, which originally opened on Broadway on 20th November 1966, and the fifth anniversary of this award-winning production, which opened in the West End on 15th November 2021. A special celebration of the dual anniversaries will take place at the Kit Kat Club on 20th November.

Cabaret will be the first West End production that both Skylar and Sarah have starred in when they take over from current leads Jamie Muscato and Joy Woods. Skylar’s final performance will be on 12th December 2026, while Sarah will finish her run on 23rd January 2027.

An immersive theatre experience

The Kit Kat Club has taken over the Playhouse Theatre in London’s West End. Rather than a traditional theatre experience, audiences are instead immersed in a 1930s Berlin bar from the moment they enter.

The theatre was completely reimagined for this production of Cabaret and now features a revolving central stage closely surrounded by seats and tables. Dancers and musicians perform behind fringe curtains and in the Gold Bar, which has been restyled as a pre-war lounge, setting the scene before the main show begins. When booking, guests receive a ‘club entry time’ to allow enough time to take in the world of the Kit Kat Club before the show starts.

Cabaret is currently booking until 18th September 2027. Groups of ten or more are offered reduced rates on Band A and B tickets in the Dress Circle on Monday-Thursday evenings and Wednesday matinees.
