Hannah Dodd, known for her role in Netflix’s Bridgerton, is set to star as Sally Bowles in the West End production of Cabaret, joining a newly announced cast at London’s Kit Kat Club.
Producers of the West End production of Cabaret have announced new casting in the show’s lead roles. From 29th May Bridgerton star Hannah Dodd will play Sally Bowles and Olivier nominee Rob Madge will play The Emcee.
Dodd, who is known to many as Francesca Bridgerton in Netflix’s popular series, will make her West End and stage debut as part of the production. She is joined by writer, actor and social media sensation Rob Madge, who’s recent one-person show My Son’s a Queer (But What Can You Do?) had sell-out runs at the Turbine Theatre, Edinburgh Festival, across the UK, Garrick Theatre and the Ambassadors in the West End.
They join Daniel Bowerbank as Clifford Bradshaw, Vivien Parry as Fraulein Schneider, Fenton Gray as Herr Schultz, Fred Haig as Ernst Ludwig and Jessica Kirton as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie.
Willkommen to the Kit Kat Club
One of the most successful musicals of all time Cabaret features the songs Wilkommen, Don’t Tell Mama, Mein Herr, Maybe This Time, Money and the title number. It has music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, book by Joe Masteroff and is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.
The Tony award-winning Broadway production opened in April last year at the Kit Kat Club, hosted at the August Wilson Theatre, where it continues to play and currently stars Orville Peck and Eva Noblezada.
Transforming one of London’s most famous theatres with an in-the-round auditorium and reimagined spaces, before the show guests are invited to enjoy and explore the Kit Kat Club with pre-show entertainment, drinks and dining all on offer.
When booking, guests receive a ‘club entry time’ to allow enough time to take in the world of the Kit Kat Club before the show starts.
Groups of ten or more can get Band A tickets at a reduced price of £75 Monday to Wednesday evenings, excluding halterm Monday 20th October to Friday 31st October and Xmas off sale dates.
Band A and Open A tickets are also available at £75 for Saturday Matinees from 2nd June- 27th September.
