Blists Hill Victorian Town

Blists Hill Victorian Town, near Ironbridge, Shropshire, has revealed details of the group rates available for this year’s Festive Weekends.

The weekends, which are themed on what a traditional Victorian Christmas would be like, will take place on 9th and 10th December and 16th and 17th December.

Groups with more than 15 members will be entitled to special discounted rates for the weekends.

GTOs and coach drivers will also benefit from complimentary admissions, and coach drivers will be given a free refreshment voucher.

What can groups expect at a Festive Weekend?

Groups visiting Blists Hill on a Festive Weekend will get to experience Christmas festivities in the style of the Victorian period. 

There will be seasonal entertainment and visitors will get to watch as the townsfolk make preparations for Christmas, in Victorian style.

Throughout the weekends there will be brass bands and Christmas carollers, as well as Punch and Judy shows and festive stories being told. An appearance from Father Christmas and his reindeer is also to be expected.

Visitors can also explore the town on a horse and cart ride and see the decorated shops and cottages along the way.  

Blists Hill Victorian Town will be open between the hours of 10am and 4pm during these weekends.

Blists Hill Victorian Town – a recreated Victorian town – is one of the ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums 

The other museums include: Enginuity, Coalport China Museum, Jackfield Tile Museum, Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron, Museum of The Gorge, Darby Houses, Tar Tunnel, The Iron Bridge & Tollhouse, and Broseley Pipeworks.
