The award-winning musical returns for a UK tour from November, followed by a limited West End season at the Adelphi Theatre.

Billy Elliot The Musical returns to the West End for the first time in more than ten years.

The UK tour of Billy Elliot The Musical will open at the Sunderland Empire on 4th November where it will play until 28th November, before visiting the Palace Theatre, Manchester and Edinburgh Playhouse. 

From 12th February 2027, the production will move to London’s Adelphi Theatre where it will play a limited West End run until 31st July 2027, returning to the West End for the first time in more than ten years.

Billy Elliot The Musical follows Billy’s journey as he discovers his passion for dance.

About the award-winning production 

Based on the highly successful film, Billy Elliot The Musical is set in a northern mining town against the background of the 1984/85 miners’ strike and follows Billy’s journey from the boxing ring to the ballet class where he discovers a passion for dance that inspires his family and whole community and changes his life forever.

Writer Lee Hall, director Stephen Daldry and choreographer Peter Darling will bring the production to life, joined by Sir Elton John who composed the score which includes The Stars Look Down, Shine, Electricity, Expressing Yourself and Angry Dance.

The production has been seen by more than 12 million people on five continents and has won more than 80 awards, including ten Tony Awards and five Olivier Awards.
