Sudeley Castle to host summer of evening concerts

Date Posted: 05/01/2019

The castle in Gloucestershire will be holding a series of summer concerts this year, with headliners including Alfie Boe and Will Young.

The concerts will take place at Sudeley Castle, said to be the only private castle in England to have a queen buried within its grounds – Katherine Parr, Henry VIII’s last wife.

The event, called The Party at the Castle, will take place from 6th June until 8th June 2019 and will include headliners Alfie Boe, Will Young and All Saints.

The Party at the Castle

Visitors can expect to see Alfie Boe on the opening night along with side acts too. Will Young and All Saints will perform on 7th June.

On 8th June, visitors to the event will enjoy the Party at the Castle Summer Shindig, with acts yet to be announced.

More details about the acts and other entertainment will be revealed in due course.

Director of the event, Dan Burner, commented: “It will bring together family and friends in a great party atmosphere with a cracking community vibe, lovely bars, sumptuous food trucks and on-site entertainment ensuring your night out is more of an experience than a gig.”

Group information

Tickets can be bought for the entire event or for specific dates depending on what you would like to attend. Group tickets are available.

Group travel organisers should contact Dan Burner on for details on group bookings, coach packages and discounted tickets.

Tickets do not include entry to the castle itself and will need to be purchased separately if required.

Visits to the castle

Sudeley Castle & Gardens will open to the public again in March 2019. Group rates are available and special talks and tours can be arranged for your visit.

The castle is surrounded by a 1,200 acre estate and when visiting you can also explore the restored 15th century church where Katherine Parr lies.
