Swan Hellenic Announces 2017%2F18 Cruises %7C Group Travel News

Cruising company Swan Hellenic has launched its 2017/18 winter brochure with details of its selection of cruises running from October 2017.

Swan Hellenic’s Minerva will make her way across the globe from October 2017, beginning her adventures with a passage through the Suez Canal in Egypt and the Red Sea. After navigating the shores of the Middle East, the ship will head to India and Sri Lanka.

In the Far East, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam will feature, before she calls to European waters with ports of call at Greece, Italy and France.

Selection of 2017 journeys

In October 2017, groups can board Minerva for a 14 day journey through the Red Sea and Suez Canal. Ports of call include Greece, Egypt and Oman, and highlights include an afternoon and evening spent in Salalah – dubbed the perfume capital of Arabia – and a guest speaker and entertainment programme on board the ship.

From November, travellers can experience the Pears of the Persian Gulf 12 day journey. Here, Oman, UAE and Bahrain will be visited and one highlight will be an overnight stay in the city of Muscat. Groups will also have the opportunity to visit Sur to learn about dhows, the traditional wooden boats that are still used by fishermen today.

Other 2017 itineraries include Spices of India, Colours of India and Indochina and Festive Indonesia.

Selection of 2018 journeys

Vietnamese Vistas takes place from the 4th January 2018 and runs for 15 days with ports of call to Singapore, Vietnam and Hong Kong. Highlights include a visit to Ho Chi Minh, formerly known as Saigon, and cruising along the limestone karsts of Halong Bay.

In February, groups can set sail for 16 days on the Oriental Wonders trip. The journey includes visits to Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar and Sri Lanka, where groups can enjoy modern architecture in Kuala Lumpur and the heritage of Phuket.

Other trip options in 2018 include Sailing the South China Sea, Images of India and Arabia, Red Sea Odyssey, Mediterranean Icons and the Corinth Canal, Springtime in the Mediterranean and European Connoisseur.
