Wisteria Tours offer coach tours showcasing historic properties and gardens.

The family-run coach tour company offers UK coach tours and breaks showcasing historic properties, royal residences and English gardens. Each tour is accompanied by one of the family to ensure they are providing the best possible service.

Wisteria Tours, run by Sue Burnell alongside her sister Jacky Burnell and mother Jackie Crick, has expanded into European travel as a result of customer demand for personalised experiences and sustainable tourism. Its first European trip will take place in September with a seven-night Luxembourg tour, which will also take in Germany and Belgium, travelling via Eurotunnel Le Shuttle.

Sue Burnell said: “This Luxembourg tour exemplifies our approach to European travel – immersive cultural experiences, local guides, carefully selected accommodation and seamless transport arrangements.

“We did a trial run to Normandy, 2024. We put it out to our customers on our newsletter and by 5pm same day all the places had been reserved. Doing the trip we learned some lessons, like don’t go from Shrewsbury to Normandy in one day! We have reshaped this year’s Luxembourg trip with those lessons in mind.”

Tours and short breaks

Wisteria Tours are based in the Midlands and offer day tours to historic houses and gardens across the UK. Among the available tours are visits to Thenford Arboretum & Garden in Oxfordshire, Shugborough Estate and a canal cruise in Staffordshire, and Bodenham Arboretum and Hanbury Hall in Worcestershire.

The coach tour operator also offers UK short breaks, which include dinner, overnight accommodation and entry into attractions with audio guides. Breaks currently available include visits to Cambridge, Burghley House and Deene Park House, and Buckingham Palace and Hampton Court Palace.
