Visit Jersey has launched Jersey Tidal Trail, a 48-mile walking route circumnavigating the island’s coastline, including clifftops, golden beaches and hidden coves.
To celebrate the launch of the walking route, walking holiday expert Ramble Worldwide is taking groups to explore the Channel Island on its new guided or self-guided Jersey Tidal Trail holidays.
The Jersey Tidal Trail showcases the very best of Jersey, highlighting the island’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, with ancient remains and monuments offering points of interest along the trail. The coast has been curated into five manageable walking sections.
Wayne Perks, managing director, Ramble Worldwide said: “Less than an hour’s flight from the UK, the Jersey Tidal Trail offers a unique and rewarding way to capture the character of this small yet remarkably diverse island. With dramatic tidal shifts, sea cliffs strewn with wildflowers and home to thriving colonies of seabirds, it also has a rich and fascinating history.
“Whether you enjoy the camaraderie of a group or the independence and flexibility of a self-guided itinerary, we have devised three great ways for our customers to explore this gem of an island on foot.”

Trail highlights

The leisurely section of the trail includes the pastel-coloured fishing village of Gorey tucked below the medieval Mont Orgueil Castle, a sweeping promenade past the tidal island fortress of Elizabeth Castle to the historic port of St Aubin with its lively restaurants and bars.
Hiking along the headland to Noirmont Point, walking groups can see the unusual Second World War bunker complex, through St Brelade’s Bay, to Jersey’s iconic La Corbiere Lighthouse, on the island’s south-western tip.
Elsewhere along the trail, walk along St Ouen’s Bay, one of Europe’s original surfing beaches, around the heathland cliffs of Les Landes, past the golden sands of Plémont Bay and through woodland to Grève de Lecq cove.
Hike to the Devil’s Hole, a 100ft diameter coastal crater, before crossing Mourier Valley to Sorel Point, the northernmost tip of the route, with panoramic views of Sark, Guernsey and France.
