Who among your group is truly faithful? Find out during an intense challenge at Middleton Castle.

Groups of 12 to 16 players can take part in their own version of the iconic BBC TV show experience at the Norfolk castle, staying to play for up to 24 hours in the historic building which has been closed to the public for large parts of its 600-year history.

The game has been launched in collaboration with Cloaked Events and features some of the most well-known aspects of the show including winning shields to protect yourself from murder and voting around the table. The game challenges participants to use critical thinking and communication to solve challenges and puzzles and uncover the traitors.

Will Parry, co-founder of Cloaked Events said: “When you are surrounded by candlelight and centuries of history, the tension and excitement of The Traitors game becomes completely real and is very authentic to the show.

The setting is the Grade I Middleton Castle, built in 1455.

“It’s immersive theatre meets strategy and it’s unlike anything else in the UK right now. We have a range of formats depending on how long people want to play and/or stay, from three to 24 hours for usually somewhere between 12 and 16 players, but we can be flexible depending on the group.”

What to expect

Missions are at the heart of the experience and every event is tailored to the specific group taking part. Among the challenges previous groups have faced are navigating the castle grounds on a hunt for hidden clues, archery contests, kayaking around the 15th century moat to search for shields and deciphering hidden riddles and working together to solve puzzles against the clock.

Groups can stay at Middleton Castle for different periods of time, from three to 24 hours.

Each challenge is designed around the venue, allowing teams to earn information, or coveted shields to protect themselves from the eliminations.
