The show is now taking bookings until 2021.

Running at London’s Aldwych Theatre until 23rd January 2021, Aisha Jawando and Jammy Kasongo will remain as leads Tina and Ike respectively as the show enters its third year in the West End.

Chanel Haynes, who will mark her London stage debut as Tina at certain performances, was discovered by Quincy Jones while she was still a teenager, and went on to sell more than two and a half million albums with New Orleans-based group Trin-i-tee 5:7.

Having originally played Tina’s sister Alline Bullock, Aisha Jawando has been with the company since its world premiere in 2018, and will continue in the title role.

Jammy Kasongo, who was also a member of the original company before playing the roles of Richard and Raymond, steps up to play the part of Ike.

More than 200,000 tickets have become available for the musical, based on the life of well-known singer Tina Turner, which picked up the Best Theatre Production Award at the 2019 Group Leisure & Travel Awards.

More about the show

The production follows the story of Tina from humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her transformation into one of the best-known female singers in the world.
