Madame Tussauds Presents The Sherlock Holmes Experience %7C Group Travel News

Madame Tussauds has collaborated with Les Enfants Terribles to create a new permanent theatrical detective challenge based around the world of Sherlock Holmes.

The Sherlock Holmes Experience challenges guests to channel their inner Sherlock during the live walkthrough adventure.

Groups will explore different sets including 221B Baker Street and the windswept moors of Dartmoor, as they help Dr. Watson to find the missing Sherlock Holmes.

The interactive experience will feature textured theatrical sets filled with details such as hidden clues and special effects, as well as a cast of characters who will be on hand to help people crack the case.

The Sherlock Holmes Experience is the first in Madame Tussauds’ history to not be centred around wax figures, and will be included as part of a main visit to the attraction.

The experience has been created in collaboration with theatre company Les Enfants Terribles and regular collaborator and producer, Emma Brünjes Productions (ebp).

Emma Brünjes commented, “The opportunity to explore the extraordinary storytelling world of Sherlock Holmes is hugely exciting and a perfect platform for the original and innovative spirit of Les Enfants Terribles.

“We hope to delight audiences young and old, from the UK and all over the world, with our reimaging of the enigmatic detective’s universe – and are delighted to have the opportunity to give Holmes a stage so near his fictional roots in Baker Street.”

The Games Afoot

Les Enfants Terribles and edp are also presenting a limited run of evening show, The Game’s Afoot, which is a free roaming and more interactive take on the original experience.

The evening events run for around an hour and end with access to a themed bar, and there are two cases to crack – The Case of the Poisonous Poet and The Case of the Bloodthirsty Beast.

The Game’s Afoot is running until 30th September and is a separately ticketed show.
