Knoll Gardens in Dorset will mark its 25th anniversary with an expanded programme which includes over 70 events.
The gardens will host everything from creative workshops to garden tours, wildlife walks, yoga sessions, indoor gardening workshops, and family-friendly events across the year.
The programme has been put together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the arrival of owner, Neil Lucas, at the Dorset-based garden.
The celebrations will conclude with Knoll Gardens’ first Festival of Grasses, on from 1st September until 31st October, when the garden’s autumn colours are at its peak. A full programme of events will run throughout the Festival, with full details available online (www.knollgardens.co.uk).
A closer look at the 2019 events programme
The events programme will begin on 16th March with a mini-masterclass on preparing grasses for summer effect, followed by a willow weaving workshop on 23rd March.
In April, events will include an evening bat walk on 11th April and a beginners’ macro photography workshop on 12th April.
The first of four seasonal garden walks led by professional horticulturist and owner of Knoll Gardens, Neil Lucas, will then begin on the 26th April.
May events include a bee walk, volunteers day, terrarium and mosaic workshops, outdoor yoga and Neil’s naturalistic gardening workshop.
Pre-booked groups of 12 or more can benefit from discounted rates and pre-booked coach parties are welcome at the gardens.
Many of the events taking place this year require pre-booking, so enquiring in advance is recommended.
At other times of the year, groups of no more than 25 can also take advantage of a choice of guided garden tours during their visit, while groups of two to 20 can book exclusive personal tours with Neil Lucas.
GTOs wishing to enquire about group tours can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01202 873931.
