The Group Leisure %26 Travel Show 2016

It’s been two weeks since the Group Leisure & Travel Show 2016 took place. If you’re missing the hubbub of the day, you can now re-live it all online by watching the GLTS 2016 video.

The video is included below and it features everything great about the day.

There are comments from all four of the speakers who delivered talks in the Seminar Theatre on the day.

Travel presenters Julie Peasgood and Martin Roberts, scam expert Alexis Conran and historical expert Eric Knowles are all captured on camera, talking about their opinion of the show.

“This show is the way people learn,” said Julie Peasgood, for example. “When you actually come face to face with a person who knows their area expertly, it’s of such great value.”

Alexis Conran, meanwhile, is captured saying: “The show has a great layout, lovely people. It’s a great great show.”

In addition, there are clips of the selfie area that Warner Leisure Hotels set up at the entrance to the show, and the potters wheel on the Middleport Pottery stand where thumb-sized pots were being thrown.

There’s footage of the Crack the Safe challenge on the InterChocie stand, where visitors to the show got the opportunity to guess the combination of a lock in order to win £2,000 in cash.

The video also includes shots of visitors playing skittles at the Serious About Events stand, and having their antiques valued at the special valuation session that was hosted by Eric Knowles.

Miss England even makes a cameo in the video, as she was meeting and greeting visitors at the Visit Southport stand on the day.

Finally, the video includes brief interviews with GTOs who attended the show, who talk candidly about their experience on the day.

“As always, the show never disappoints,” explains Sylvia Bailey from Sutton Coldfield U3A.
