Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) has revealed details and highlights of its 2018 season, including its benefits for groups.

Highlights of the season will include Best of Broadway on 14th March at the Royal Albert Hall, London. This performance will involve four West End stars performing songs from hit shows such as Mamma Mia!, Evita and Cats.

Taking place on 1st May will be Symphonic Rock, also at Royal Albert Hall, which will include rock and pop hits from Take That, Queen, Adele and George Michael. 

Also new for the 2018 season will be Symphonic Russia at the Royal Albert Hall on 7th July which includes the very best of Russian music including Paganini Variations, Polovtsian Dances and Spartacus.

Other shows confirmed for the season include Steven Isserlis performs Elgar and Pinchas Zukerman performs Bruch at Royal Festival Hall and Myths & Fairytales II, Romantic Favourites and Pictures at an Exhibition at Cadogan Hall.

Group benefits

Groups with 30 plus members can save 35% off ticket prices, meanwhile groups with more than ten can save up to 25% off tickets and will benefit from two free tickets for the group organisers.

Groups of six plus can save up to 15% off all tickets. There will also be free concert programmes available for your group.

The RPO plays at London venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Southbank Centre, St Paul's Cathedral, Cadogan Hall and various regional locations, too.

In 1986, the RPO became the first UK orchestra to launch its own record label. This year RPO has celebrated its 70th birthday.
