Blists Hill Victorian Town

This year the Ironbridge Gorge Museums, in Shropshire, celebrates its 50th anniversary and will be introducing two new festive packages for groups.

The new packages will allow groups to experience the sights, sounds and smells of a Victorian Town at Christmas and will be available at Blists Hill Victorian Town – one of the Ironbridge Gorge Museums.

The festive lunch packages

The two festive packages offer different lunch menus for groups.

The first package involves a three-course Christmas lunch menu, meanwhile the second package offers a lighter lunch at a lower price.

Both packages include admission to Blists Hill Victorian Town too, where groups can step in from the cold and warm up by the fireside to discover the traditionally decorated shops and cosy cottages, as they would have been in the Victorian era.

Groups are advised to pre-book at least two weeks in advance for these Christmas lunch packages.

Victorian Christmas Weekends

Groups can also visit Blists Hill over the two Festive weekends of 9th-10th December and 16th- 17th December, in which groups with 15 or more people can benefit from special rates.

During these festive weekends, you can soak up the Yuletide atmosphere whilst enjoying seasonal entertainment and activities.

There will be live brass bands playing, festive food and drinks, and for those with youngsters there will be the chanced to meet Father Christmas’ reindeer.

You will also watch as costumed townsfolk make preparations for Christmas, 1800s style.

Blists Hill for Groups

There is free coach parking at Blists Hill, and group organisers and coach drivers are entitled to complimentary admission when accompanying a group and coach drivers will be given a free refreshment voucher.

Groups looking to book can call 01952 435 900 or email visits@ironbridge.org.uk.
