MS Seine Princess

French river cruise operator, CroisiEurope, has launched a new art themed cruise for 2017, called Impressionist View of the Seine.

The seven day cruise from Paris to Honfleur on the MS Seine Princess, the MS Renoir and the MS Botticelli, will feature on-board presentations by experts, as well as guided visits to sites that inspired numerous masterpieces.

Additional highlights of the cruise include a visit to Claude Monet’s house in Giverny, a tour of Rouen and the Musée des Beaux-Arts, and a tour of the Alabaster coast, the Pays de Caux and the Seine estuary.

There will also be a visit to the Musée Marmottan in Paris, which is said to house the largest collection of paintings by Claude Monet, and a ‘Guinguette’ (translated as a French dance hall) evening.

Art enthusiasts will also be able to learn about the origins and techniques of Impressionism, as well as the art movement’s impact and influences on Paris, Honfleur and the Norman coast.

Meanwhile, whilst on the cruise, groups will be able to enjoy French cuisine, as well as unlimited complimentary drinks (excluding Champagne and premium wines).

The first departure date for the Impressionist View of the Seine cruise is 10th May. Further departure dates for 2017 are scheduled on 25th May, 9th July and 26th August.

Prices include all meal and drinks on-board, excursions, on-board presentations, on-board entertainments, WiFi and port fees.

As well as the Seine, CroisiEurope offers cruises on rivers such as the Rhine and its tributaries, the Danube, the Rhône, the Tisza, the Guadalquivir, the Douro, the Dordogne and the Garonne.

Beyond Europe, groups can also travel on the Mekong in Vietnam and the Irawaddy in Myanmar with CroisiEurope.
