As Dear Evan Hansen previews began on the West End last week, producer Stacey Mindich announced that its run has been extended to 2nd May 2020.
A letter that was never meant to be seen, a lie that was never meant to be told, a life he never dreamed he could have. Evan Hansen is about to get the one thing he’s always wanted: a chance to finally fit in.
A new batch of tickets are now on sale for Dear Evan Hansen, the award-winning musical that first opened on Broadway in late 2016.
Directed by Michael Greif and composed by the minds behind The Greatest Showman and La La Land, Dear Evan Hansen follows teenager Evan through his senior year of high school while dealing with social anxiety. It won six Tony awards in 2017 as well as a Grammy the following year for Best Musical Theatre Album, and has been described as “a visceral exchange, one that feels primal and rare” by Time magazine. A book version has also been released, itself landing on the New York Times Bestseller list.
The original Broadway creative team has been reunited for the West End run, which will officially open on 19th November at the Noel Coward Theatre. Sam Tutty will be making his West End debut in the title role. Tickets are available for evening performances (Monday to Saturday) as well as afternoon matinees (Wednesday and Saturday), starting from £12.50 per person.
