The Armed Forces Memorial%2C National Memorial Arboretum

Walks, talks, exhibitions and exclusive catering are just some of the options available to groups planning a visit to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire this year.

The arboretum is offering what it calls A Day to Remember for visiting groups who can take advantage of a range of packages available in 2018, to enhance their visit.

Special group packages are available for landmark events in the arboretum’s 2018 events programme, including the Proms at the Arboretum, Armistice Day, and Christmas events. Groups are catered for all year round, too.

The arboretum’s extensive events programme with group benefits include:

Group Saver Rates for the Proms at the Arboretum (4th August): An evening of summer entertainment. As the sun begins to set, a live band will regale the audience with a performance featuring a repertoire of traditional proms favourites, concluding with a firework finale.

Armistice Day Service and Lunch (11th November): A large outdoor service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday 11th November 2018, marking the Centenary of the end of World War One. On this occasion groups can benefit from exclusive group packages.

Beginning with a welcome talk at 10.30am, in advance of the service, each group will have guaranteed, reserved seating, in the Pavilion Marquee for the duration of the event, where the arboretum’s service will also be broadcast on screens. Alternatively groups can join the crowds to watch the service outdoors, before returning for a buffet lunch.

Christmas Lunch with Entertainment (5th, 12th and 19th December): A three-course Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, hosted in the new events building, will be exclusively available for groups. A welcome drink and live entertainment provided throughout the lunch will ensure guests leave ‘full of festive joy’.

Early booking for all events is recommended; you can book by visiting www.thenma.org.uk.
