Seacroft Holiday Village

Group Leisure turns its attention to Norfolk and picks out five great accommodation options for groups planning an extended trip there.

Great Yarmouth, Cromer, Sheringham, Hunstanton and the Norfolk Broads are just some of Norfolk’s tourist-y delights, so make a base at one these great accommodation options for groups before heading off to explore.

1. Langley Grange

Langley Grange in Norwich is a large country house near the Norfolk Broads, with highlights including indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a tennis court. The house sleeps up to 21 people so is suitable for smaller parties visiting the region.

The house is a 15-minute drive from Norwich, where the cathedral, castle, and collection of shops are waiting to be explored. It’s also 1.5 miles from Loddon, where groups can hire motor boats to explore the Norfolk Broads.

2. Potters Resort

Potters Resort offers plenty to do both onsite and in the surrounding area. Great Yarmouth, the Norfolk Broads, Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens and Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park are just some of the places that can be explored outside the resort.

3. Knights Hill Hotel & Spa

For a taste of luxury, groups might like to take a break with Abacus Hotels. The accommodation chain has three premier four-star hotels, one called Knights Hill Hotel & Spa in King’s Lynn. The hotel offers meal packages and stylish accommodation for groups, as well as views over the Wash and towards historic Castle Rising.

Groups can explore local attractions such as Sandringham House, Norfolk Lavender and the historic market town of Kings Lynn, or take advantage of the on-site Imagine Spa and health club for a relaxed break.

4. Seacroft Holiday Village

Richardson’s Holidays offers full and half board adult-only accommodation in two locations, one being Seacroft Holiday Village in Norfolk. Seacroft is an adults-only village near Great Yarmouth in the traditional seaside resort of Hemsby, just ten minutes away from the beach.

Themed breaks are available from February to December, and GTOs can choose from comedy weekends, spring breaks that come complete with cabaret shows, and Irish and country weekends.

5. Hunstanton YHA

Groups on a budget will find an YHA Hostel in Hunstanton, just three minutes from the beach. This hostel sleeps up to 48 and provides a handy base for walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers. The Norfolk Coast Path and Peddars Way provide opportunities for spotting wildlife, as does a boat trip to Seal Island.

Dorm rooms and private rooms are available in the hostel, as are social areas, self-catering facilities and a licensed restaurant.
