Group Leisure & Travel Awards: recognising the best in group travel

 

The Group Leisure & Travel Awards recognise the best providers, attractions and destinations for groups, as voted for by readers of Group Leisure & Travel magazine.

Each year we ask group travel organisers from across the country to tell us who, where and what is best across 21 categories, including Best UK Attraction, Best Theatre Production and Best Group Tour Operator. To see a full list of categories click to our 2017 guide.

The deadline for entries and nominations has now closed. Information on each category and details about shortlisted finalists is below:

The Excellence Award

The nominations for The Excellence Award are in and the four finalists for The Excellence Award 2017 can now be revealed: find out who they are, before voting here.

The winner will then be revealed at this year’s Group Leisure & Travel Awards ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Wednesday 11th October.
 


GTO of the Year

Thanks for all your entries and nominations for this year's Group Travel Organiser of the Year 2017. With a first prize of £2,000 to spend on a holiday, we are looking to find yet another deserving winner, who's not only a fantastic organiser but someone who really makes a difference to the lives of the people in their groups.

GTOs who have entered or been nominated will receive a questionnaire to complete, so we can find out more about their work. We also make selected phone calls where needed.

A shortlist of four will then be drawn up and these finalists are then needed for a judging day in London before the winner is decided.

The winner will be announced at the Group Leisure Awards ceremony and dinner, which will take place on Wednesday 11th October at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The Annual Reader Awards

Once again, you have told us about the best providers, destinations, attractions and companies so they can be rewarded and recognised.

Votes will now be counted and winners will be announced at the ceremony on Wednesday, 11th October, 2017.

The awards dinner and ceremony - be there

The Group Leisure & Travel Awards dinner and ceremony will take place on Wednesday 11th October at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel and tickets are available now. It's without doubt, the biggest and most important night in group travel each year, and a fantastic event for networking, entertaining, rewarding... and of course celebrating.
