It’s always nice to see more photos from our winners after the ceremony, the teams of people who helped make it all happen but perhaps weren’t at the ceremony, and fun photos at some of the award-winning attractions. Above is a selection.

“Thrilled”, “proud” - what has been the reaction?

Coronation Street Experience won Best Guided Tour for the first time and general manager, Ashley Bolton-Burrows told us: “We’re absolutely over the moon to have been recognised by Group Leisure & Travel as the nation’s ‘Best Guided Tour’. It’s a real testament to the incredible team we have here - their passion for the show, knowledge and the way they connect with our guests.

“These are what makes this experience so special. Every tour is a chance to share a bit of television history and being recognised by the industry in this way means so much to us all. We’re proud to be a go-to group travel destination and to showcase the iconic set known and loved the world over.”

Michelle Gorman, managing director of Visit County Durham was thrilled after the county scooped Best UK Destination: “It is an honour for Durham to be named Best UK Destination, and it goes to show the fantastic tourism offer in the county. Coach and group travel is a vital part of the visitor economy, and we have worked hard to make Durham the ideal destination.

“Visit County Durham works in partnership to raise the profile and appeal of the county with group travel organisers and travel trade, and we are delighted that some of our partners also won on the night, with even more recognised as finalists.”

Potters Resorts was voted Best Group Dining Experience and Sallyanne Gooch, their head of sales - Hopton commented: “The night was brilliant, and we’re incredibly proud to receive this award. It’s a testament to the hard work of every team member, from those managing group table plans in advance, to those in the kitchen and the friendly faces serving you. At Potters, dining isn’t just a meal, it’s part of the experience, the hospitality, and the sense of welcome that we strive to give every guest, every day. To be recognised for that by group organisers is a real honour.”
