Visitors to the Group Leisure & Travel Show are being offered the chance to enter two special competitions to have a private valuation with Antiques Roadshow expert Mark Smith and a personally signed book from Gardeners’ World presenter Adam Frost.
Both Mark Smith and Adam Frost are part of the speaker line-up at the GLT Show in Milton Keynes on 2nd October at Arena MK, and you can enter two competitions now.
A personal valuation with Antiques Roadshow’s Mark Smith
The first is the chance to meet Antiques Roadshow expert, Mark Smith, get a photo and have a personal valuation of one of your own antiques (must be connected to military history or medals).

Mark is renowned for his expertise in medals and militaria and will be sharing some great ideas when it comes to historic and battlefield venues that groups can visit.
You’ll recognise him as one of the Antiques Roadshow’s most popular experts. He has also featured on many other TV programmes including Bargain Hunt, The One Show and Who Do You Think You Are?
Meet Gardeners’ World presenter, Adam Frost
Those planning to visit the GLT Show can also enter a competition to meet Gardeners’ World presenter and author, Adam Frost, who is a first-time speaker in the Seminar Theatre. Adam will pose for photos and personally sign a copy of his latest book, For The Love of Plants.

Best known for his regular appearances on the BBC’s Gardeners’ World, Adam will be sharing his suggestions on gardens for groups to visit during his session in the Seminar Theatre.
In his new book, Adam reflects on the plants that have shaped his life and takes readers on a tour through his garden, explaining his design and planting choices and drawing on memories and years of experience.
A welcome return for Simon Calder
Travel expert Simon Calder completes the Seminar Theatre line-up and will be talking about some great overseas options for groups. The go-to person for TV channels and radio stations, Simon is a familiar speaker at the show and will be sharing some standout experiences for GTOs, whether it’s their first time taking a group abroad or those who are well travelled.
The travel correspondent for The Independent as well as an acclaimed TV and radio broadcaster and commentator, Simon told us: “The Group Leisure & Travel Show is an annual highlight because I meet a whole range of group organisers and travel professionals who together are enriching so many lives by providing great tourism experiences.
“I’ll learn a lot about what’s happening across the sector, and I also know if I turn up nice and early I’ll be able to grab a bacon butty!”
Exhibitors include cruise lines, tour operators, hotel groups, gardens, historic attractions, museums and much more.
The competitions are only open to people who attend the show. Terms and conditions apply and entries must be received by 28th September.
There’s still time to register to attend the show for free. Visit here to register.
