A new wizarding feature, promising magical surprises, is among the highlights for an anniversary year at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.

This year marks 25 years since the release of the first Harry Potter novel in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. To celebrate, the studio tour is launching a new feature, running from 7th May until 7th September, set to “wow fans like never before.”
It promises magical surprises, spellbinding sets and even more behind-the-scenes secrets from the Harry Potter film series with more details to be announced at a later date.
The studio tour, located a short journey from Watford Junction and with coach parking available, offers a behind-the-scenes look at the world of Harry Potter and the sets, props, costumes and effects that went into creating the iconic film series.
Highlights of the tour include the Great Hall, Gryffindor common room, Dumbledore’s office and the Ministry of Magic. Throughout the year the attraction will host a number of seasonal tours and themed displays, marking 25 years of Harry Potter.
Spring - Magical Mischief
This year sees the return of Magical Mischief to the studio tour. From 24th January to 27th April, visitors can see the mayhem caused by the Weasley twins, beginning in the Great Hall transformed for the O.W.L. exams, complete with paper firing desks and Fred and George’s fireworks.
Other elements include Harry Potter’s flying Hogwarts letters, his Invisibility Cloak and Aunt Petunias elegantly frosted levitating cake. Visitors can also relive the scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets where Neville Longbottom was suspended by Cornish Pixies during Gilderoy Lockhart’s Defence Against the Dark Arts class.

Autumn - Dark Arts
From 16th September to 8th November the eerie Dark Arts feature returns, transforming the sets and studio tour. The Great Hall will feature pumpkins suspended above the Hogwarts house tables which will have a Halloween spread.
Death Eaters will roam in the shadows of the tour and visitors will be able to test their wand skills as they duel against them, whilst original Dementor costumes will be on display.

Winter - Hogwarts in the Snow
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter’s winter transformation returns once again, running from 14th November to 17th January 2027. Visitors can see the Great Hall bedecked with Christmas decorations seen throughout the films, whilst the Gryffindor common room will also be transformed.
Other iconic sets such as the Forbidden Forest and the Hogwarts castle model will be covered in a blanket of snow using the same filmmaking techniques used in the Harry Potter film series.
