Emmy nominee Jack McBrayer, best known as Kenneth in 30 Rock, is set to make his West End debut as Ogie in Waitress.
The show will play at London’s Adelphi Theatre with previews from 8th February and an opening night of 7th March, with tickets now on sale.
Jack McBrayer was Emmy-nominated for his portrayal of Kenneth Parcell in the series 30 Rock. His other credits include Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, The Campaign, The To Do List and They Came Together.
He can also be seen on ABC’s The Middle, Comedy Central’s Drunk History and can be heard as one of the lead roles of Fix-It Felix in Wreck-It Ralph, as well as in other animated films including Despicable Me, The Simpsons and Archer.
The US film and television star will join the previously announced Katharine McPhee, who will star as Jenna. The two will star alongside Marisha Wallace as Becky, Laura Baldwin as Dawn, Peter Hannah as Earl and David Hunter as Dr. Pomatter.
Meet Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. Pouring her heart into her pies, she crafts desserts that mirror her topsy-turvy life. When a baking contest in a nearby county — and a satisfying run-in with someone new — show Jenna a chance at a fresh start, she must find the courage to seize it. Change is on the menu, as long as Jenna can write her own perfectly personal recipe for happiness.
The play features music and lyrics by six-time Grammy Award-nominee Sara Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson and is based upon the motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly, with direction by Diane Paulus, a Tony Award-winner.
