Kate Humble, who is a champion of the great outdoors, is the third speaker at the 2019 Group Leisure & Travel Show.

With a TV career spanning over two decades, Kate is well known for presenting hugely popular wildlife programmes including Springwatch, Autumnwatch and Animal Park.

Kate, who is known for championing the countryside and great outdoors, had her first travel article published by The Telegraph in 1996 and that same year landed her first job at the BBC.

On her second day there Kate was asked by the programme’s editor if she had ever presented before. Kate said ‘no, and nor do I want to’. She has been presenting programmes and writing articles and books ever since.

In 2007 Kate moved to a small holding in Wales and in 2012 set up Humble by Nature - a rural skills centre on a working farm in Monmouthshire, offering visitors a range of courses and accommodation. She is the author of three books, the latest of which is Thinking on my Feet, celebrating the many benefits of walking.

Kate will join travel journalist and broadcaster, Simon Calder and cruise expert Julie Peasgood in the Seminar Theatre at the Group Leisure & Travel Show at the Marshall Arena, Stadium MK, Milton Keynes on Thursday 10th October.

This year, the market leading exhibition will be staged at a different venue, the Marshall Arena at Stadium MK, to create new opportunities for visitors and exhibitors. The annual black-tie Group Leisure & Travel Awards dinner will be held the previous evening at the nearby Hilton hotel.

Stand bookings for the venue remain up on this time last year, with some of the latest exhibitors to sign up including Bills Minibus & Coach Hire, Jubilee Market, Portaventura and Rhondda Heritage Park.
