To coincide with the latest brochure launch, Travelsphere has introduced new tours which include the Canadian Rockies, the Battlefields of France and Flanders, and Wildflowers of Crete.
A whole range of existing tours are also detailed, such as Top to Toe of Italy, one of Travelsphere’s 26 Italian holidays, and Epic Wonders of the National Parks, where groups can tick off eight national parks in seven US states.
A group holiday to the Canadian Rockies
This tour is a ten-day journey which starts from Calgary and travels to Vancouver. It also features a two-day ride on the Rocky Mountaineer train.
The first stop on the tour is Banff, situated in the Rockies and surrounded by Banff National Park. The tour then heads on Lake Louise and then Jasper which is reached via the Icefields Parkway, sitting 7,000 feet above sea level.
The Rocky Mountaineer train will allow passengers time to relax and take in the scenery of the Continental Divide and the river valleys of the Monashee Cariboo Mountain. The train follows the Fraser River which is home to British Colombia’s largest salmon fishing run and is also a key place for spotting grizzly bears trying to pluck the fish from the river.
Battlefields of France and Flanders
This new tour is a way to remember the fallen soldiers of World War One, with 2018 being the 100 year anniversary of the war ending.
The four day holiday includes visits to battlefields, The Somme, Vimy Ridge, Flanders Field Museum Tyne Cot Cemetery and the Last Post Ceremony.
Wildflowers of Crete
For those interested in flora and fauna, Travelsphere has launched Wildflowers of Crete, where you will spend eight days discovering the many species of wildflowers and exploring the spectacular scenery of the idyllic Greek island of Crete.
On 3rd April 2018, there is a special departure of this tour when Travelsphere guests can go orchid hunting - it’s the best time of the year to catch the flowers in bloom.
Each group will be accompanied by a Tour Lecturer who boasts an in-depth knowledge of the wild flowers of the island.
