Specialist group tour operator, Success Tours has announced the return of Tony Flanagan to the position of general manager following a 12-month sabbatical working at the Albatross Group head office in Kent.
Based in Trowbridge in Wiltshire, Success Tours specialises in tailor-made group travel for private groups, clubs and associations and was voted Best Group Tour Operator – Short Haul at the Group Leisure Awards in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
The operator is part of the Albatross Group of Companies, a collection of group tourism businesses employing over 100 people and operating more than 5,000 groups every year throughout the UK and continental Europe.
Albatross Group chief executive, Steve Hornby announced Tony’s return. Steve commented: “Tony Flanagan was instrumental in growing Success Tours after he was first promoted into a leadership role in 2013 and he is widely regarded as one of the most experienced people in group travel.
“After a year away working in one of the Group’s sister companies, Albatross Travel, we both felt that Success Tours was where his heart lay and I am delighted to have him back at the helm.”
Steve Hornby retains overall board responsibility for Success Tours and sales manager, Jo Blair, and office manager, Andy Wenham, will continue to play key leadership roles at company.
