A hysterical play, global dance performances and a Shakespearian-themed vignette have been added to the entertainment offer aboard Ambience.
Ambassador Cruise Line offers year-round no-fly cruises departing from the UK and a fly-cruise Caribbean programme from Winter 2025/26. From this month guests can enjoy an expanded entertainment offer.
There is Ding Dong, described as a a hysterical play written by the French playwright Marc Camoletti; Global Explosion is a show that takes guests on a whirlwind around the globe through ‘incredible’ dance performances; and Bard on Board, a Shakespearian-themed vignette, will open the Captain’s Cocktail Reception.
These new initiatives join a list of activities conceived by Ambassador; since April 2022, guests have been treated to a diverse range of West End-style shows, musical acts, vignettes, ‘In Conversation with…’ and meet & greets with stars of stage, screen and sport, specialist guest speakers and more.
The new entertainment options…
Ding Dong: written by French playwright Marc Camoletti, who found fame in the 1960s with his French-farce Boeing Boeing and whose work has now been performed in over 50 countries, Ambience’s newest play is a French-farce that promises to transport guests to the fashionable suburbs of Paris where the household of the wealthy Marcellin family is situated. Mix together a scandalous affair, a deadly bargain and a troublesome maid along with a strong streak of comedic genius throughout and, voila, the recipe is complete.
Global Explosion: transporting guests from South America to Seville, Global Explosion is a whirlwind adventure across the globe. From an energetic salsa show filled with bright colours and big feathers, and a sultry performance inspired by France’s famous Moulin-Rouge, to a classical Spanish paso doble with dramatic cape-swirling and a fabulous foot-stomping number in Nashville, the new show promises a feast for the senses.
Bard on Board: the all-new vignette will feature on the special Ambassador Night. Heralding the beginning of the Captain’s Cocktail Reception, a troupe of Shakespearean actors will offer guests the chance to sit back, relax and enjoy an impromptu, entertaining feast for the senses that sets the scene for a playful evening of drinks and nibbles.
