Dancers, Anton and Erin, best known for performances on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing show, are set to tour the UK next year with a ‘musical’ themed production.
Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag have announced their new production, Dance Those Magical Musicals, which will embark on a major tour of the UK and Ireland in 2019.
The show will open at Northampton’s Royal & Derngate on 25th January, 2019 before visiting venues in Leicester, Bristol and Guildford among others
Think ballroom meets musical theatre; the production promises to be packed full of impressive costumes and creative choreography, set to iconic theatrical music from shows including Phantom of the Opera, Mary Poppins, 42nd Street, Wicked, Top Hat, Hairspray and Jersey Boys.
Joining Anton and Erin live on stage will be the London Concert Orchestra with conductor Richard Balcombe, a West End dance ensemble and the vocalist, Lance Ellington.
The show will also feature a ‘Q and A’ section giving the audience the chance to quiz the dancers.
Commenting on Dance Those Magical Musicals, Anton Du Beke said: “Get ready for West End live on the dancefloor! Erin and I can’t wait to bring our new show to a venue near you. Expect fabulous dancing, music and songs.”
Having danced together professionally for more than 20 years, Anton and Erin have become household names and have appeared in every series of Strictly since its launch in 2004.
