Accommodation provider, Strathmore Hotels, has revealed a range of group getaways for 2017 at its seven hotels.

Strathmore Hotels is a collection of hotels situated in scenic areas in Scotland and the North of England, like Cumbria, Oban, Harrogate and Speyside.

The 2017 itinerary suggestions include highlights such as visits to museums, cathedrals, distillery tours and national parks.

Four nights at the Cairn Hotel in Harrogate

This hotel provides a base from which groups can visit York’s many attractions such as the Gothic York Minister and The Jorvik Viking Museum. It’s available to book on 1st and 29th May and 28th August.

The market town of Ripon, Harlow Carr Gardens, and Eden Camp – a museum based in the grounds of an original World War Two POW camp – are further highlights nearby.

Four nights at the Cumbria Grand Hotel in the Lake District

A four-night stay at the Cumbria Grand Hotel is available for GTOs to book from 24th and 31st July, 28th August and 25th September. Lancaster, Kendall and Blackpool are all points of interest close by.

Groups can visit Lancaster Castle; cruise on Lake Windermere or take a steam train journey on the Haverthwaite Railway in the Lake District; and peruse the shops in Kendall during their stay.

Four nights at the Nethybridge Hotel, Cairngorms National Park

Groups can opt for a Scottish itinerary by staying at Nethybridge Hotel, and take a Glenlivet Distillery tour, a trip to Cairngorms National Park (an Area of Outstanding Beauty), and a visit to the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge.
