Views from Emirates Spinnaker Tower

The Emirates Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, Hampshire, has launched a new joint ticket for groups that combines a trip up the viewing tower with a short cruise.

The new Sail and See package has been set up in partnership with Solent and Wightline Cruises, and is available on selected dates in 2017.

Groups will get to enjoy both on-the-water and above-the-water views by combining a trip to the top of Portsmouth’s tower with a cruise to learn about the city’s history and surrounding area.

Group travel organisers can choose from several Sail and See options, with choices including lunch time cruises and a full day cruise to Lymington.

The Medina River Cream Tea Cruise, for example, takes passengers along the north shore of the Isle of Wight to Cowes and up the river to spot the many historic warehouses and wharfs where, in the past, flying boats, hovercraft and steam ships were developed and built.

A Four Forts Cream Tea Cruise, meanwhile, heads out to some of the forts dotted around Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight; Horse Sand, No Man’s Land, Spitbank and St Helens. All four forts were designed and built in the 19th century to protect the eastern approaches to the harbour.

Group benefits include free entry for the group travel organiser, fast track admission and a meet and greet service (available on request).

High tea – that can be upgraded to include a glass of bubbly – is available at the tower, too, as are joint tickets with Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and the D-Day Museum.

Group visits and the selection of joint ticket options to create a full or half day itinerary can be booked through the dedicated group bookings team. Organisers should call 02392-857520 to make a booking.
