The producers of SIX The Musical have announced that it is extending to 5th January 2020.

Following its sold out season in 2018, SIX The Musical’s current season began at the London Arts Theatre on the 17th January 2019 and was originally due to conclude on 5th May this year.

With many dates already sold out for the musical, which is a modern day take on the many wives of Henry VIII, producers made the decision to extend the show’s run into early January next year.

The full original West End cast will return to the stage and will include Jarneia Richard-Noel (The Color Purple in Concert) as Catherine of Aragon, Millie O’Connel (UK tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie and 42nd Street) as Anne Boleyn, and Natalie Paris (Sunday in the Park with George) as Jane Seymour.

Alexia McIntosh (Godiva Rocks) will star as Anna of Cleves, Aimie Atkinson (In The Heights and Zorro the Musical) as Katharine Howard and Maiya Quansah-Breed as Catherine Parr, following her professional debut in the role last year.

They will be joined by Grace Mouat who will play alternate Jane Seymour/Katharine Howard, Vicki Manser as an alternate Anne Boleyn/Anna of Cleves and Courtney Stapleton as an alternate Catharine of Aragon/Catharine Parr.

A brief synopsis of SIX The Musical

The concert-style show with a phenomenal all-female band sees the six wives of Henry VIII take the mic to tell their tales, remixing 500 years of historical heartbreak into a 75-minute celebration of 21st century girl power. From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, these Queens may have green sleeves but their lipstick is rebellious red.

Originally written by graduates Tony Marlow and Lucy Moss, the production is directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage, with choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille.
