Five-time gold medallist Sir Steve and decathalon great Steve Thompson will join the Paris and Seine cruise in Le Roche-Guyon, where they’ll attend an exclusive classical concert at Château de Le Roche-Guyon.

Both will then be on board the cruise in July for a Q&A session, offering guests the chance to hear stories of how the pair made it to the top in their respective sports, as well as the chance to pick up a signed keepsake and take a selfie or two.

Scenic has also extended some of its most popular itineraries in Europe and has added Utrecht (Amsterdam) and Tournon (France) to their ports of call.

Situated between three rivers, the city of Passau was founded more than 2,000 years ago.

 For eight days throughout spring, the Iconic Danube itinerary departs from Passau and allows plenty of time to explore this historic German city. Highlights include:

  • A full day in the Austrian city of Linz where a selection of Scenic Freechoice activities include a Linzer torte baking class.
  • Meeting members of the Hohenberg family that reside in Artstetten Castle, the ancestral home for Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
  • A classical concert at Palais Liechtenstein in Vienna.
