Scenic unveils 2026/27 Southeast Asia river cruises

Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has unveiled its 2026/2027 Asia river cruising and land journeys programme, featuring seven and nine-night cruises, running from July 2026 to May 2027. 

Cruises will take passengers along the Mekong River on board Scenic Spirit, with extensions available in Vietnam and Laos and land tours in Japan. The programme features nine river cruise itineraries and four Japan land journeys.

Exclusive, private experiences are included in the programme, offering behind the scenes access and culturally enriching experiences. Examples include a classical Cambodian Apsara dance performance and a gala dinner at an Angkor temple; a Champagne breakfast at sunrise at Angkor Wat; a water puppet performance in Hanoi; and a royal dinner in a private garden house with Hue Royal Court music.

Additionally, itineraries include a variety of free choice excursions with expert-led cultural experiences, local encounters and regional cuisine such as learning about the lifestyle of a local farmer in Luang Prabang, witnessing rice farming in Laos and joining a local family for a meal in Hanoi.

Programme highlights

• 13/15-day Treasures of the Mekong - Travelling from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap, highlights include Wat Hanchey; the Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh; and several ancient sites.
• 18/20-day Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Luxury Mekong - Beginning in Hanoi and visiting Halong Bay, before travelling to Ho Chi Minh City to board Scenic Spirit. Sails along the Mekong to Siem Reap, followed by a three-night land stay in Angkor Wat.
• 25/27-day Grand Indochina & Luxury Mekong - Visiting destinations in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, including Halong Bay and the temples of Angkor Wat.

Group cruises

Scenic Spirit has capacity for up to 68 guests. Groups can take advantage of discounted booking, a dedicated team, customised experiences, dedicated spaces for the group to relax and socialise and free time to explore each destination.

Private charters are available for large groups on Scenic river ships or Discovery Yachts, with tailored daily itineraries, bespoke menus and entertainment.
